Well, he didn't impress me too much either... I was yelling at the TV, "get off, get off!"

Then, he comes on to do his interview, hat backwards and all, and proudly proclaims that "he's back" sprint car racing... If that's what we've got to look forward to, perhaps he should keep trying to get work in stock cars!

I just hate it for Jason Meyers, I think he'd have won it if that yellow hadn't come out. He seems like one of the good guys. :(

Yeah , it was the interview as much as anything that got me .

I cussed him for not pulling into the pits when he could . But there was another caution later when Shane Stewart broke .

I guess if a caution was all it took for Schatz to get by , then it wouldn't have mattered anyway .

I was happy for Schatz , but I was hoping Meyers could win .

Yeah Rayse, Jason is truly one of the good guys. A few years ago I bought a local live remote on the ESPN radio affiliate to promote my buisness. After I invited Jason to be a guest and he accepted, he was asked by the guy with the weekly radio show and the WoO opener at Kings to do his show. Jason kept his word and did my remote, even though there was'nt a darn thing more I could do for him in the big picture.

He was even professional enough to return a month old message when he returned from down under about something that did'nt matter anymore at that point. Just to say thanks.

Though have'nt seen him in many years, he's the only reason I check the WoO stats. It ripped my heart out when he won his first WoO event in Michigan and I was right across the border in Goshen, Indiana with no time to attend the race.

Class act.

Walker shouldn't be in a Sprint Car. By listening to his interview, did anybody get the impression he is still on the stuff that got him kicked out of Nascar?

He's just "different", its a Santa Clarita thing. I should know because everyone I grew up with there was the same way, even the Mormons. One would hope that WoO and/or K-ville would make him pee in a cup before allowing him to race, given his past and all.

^ We would hope that they would make him do that for sake of everyone else's safety but I would bet that they probably did not.

Went to Lernerville for the Macs and All Stars race over Labor Day weekend. Good racing and got to talk to Tyler Walker for a while. He sounds truly sorry for his past and is now running a car for Kasey Kahne and from what I've seen, he is going to be a top contender once he gets a feel for dirt again. Also ran into Kenny Jacobs, helping his son, Lee. Kenny says he'll be back but it will be a while, got to let the back heal up.Speed channel needs to get around more, get to some of these races at Lernerville, Tri-City in Franklin, Pa.,and maybe even Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Ohio. There are a lot of good tracks here in Northeastern Ohio and the WoO Sprints and Late Models and coming around more often. What ever happened to Art Eckman? He could make a funeral procession sound exciting while Dale McDowell sounds like he could fall asleep.
